Stove Top Directions: Pick a Protein: 1/2 lb., cut into bite-sized pieces. Smoked sausage, ham, cooked chicken, cooked ground beef or ground sausage. Cook: Mix 3 cups water, rice mix, meat of your choice and 2 tbsp. butter or olive oil in 3-quart saucepan until well blended. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low. Cover. Simmer 25 minutes or until rice is tender. Stir occasionally to prevent rice and beans from sticking. Enjoy: Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes. Fluff with fork before serving.
