Stove top: 1. Submerge each bag of rice in about one quart of boiling water. 2. Boil uncovered for 8-10 minutes. 3. Remove bag from water with fork or tongs, drain briefly. 4. Cut open and empty cooked rice into a serving dish. 5. Add butter or margarine as desired. To cook multiple bags: 1. Pour 3 quarts water into a large saucepan and submerge 2-4 bags of brown rice. 2. Bring water to a boil and boil uncovered for 8-10 minutes. 3. Remove bag from water with fork or tongs, drain briefly. 4. Cut open and empty cooked rice into a serving dish. 5. Add butter or margarine as desired. Out of bag cooking instructions: 1. Brown rice can also be prepared "out of the bag". 2. Empty the uncooked rice into a medium saucepan and add 1 1/4 cups of water or broth per bag. 3. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to medium. 4. Cook until liquid is absorbed, about 10 minutes. Microwave: 1. Submerge each bag of rice in about one quart of water in a microwave-safe casserole dish. 2. Microwave on high for 10 minutes. 3. Remove bag from water drain briefly. 4. Cut open arid empty cooked rice into a serving dish. 5. Add butter or margarine as desired. Microwave ovens vary cooking times are approximate. We do not recommend using the microwave to cook multiple bags. Store in a cool, dry place.
