This principle allows us to assure our loyal and valued consumers a product always consistent and unsurpassed by any other brand of pasta available.
Cooking Directions: For each package of Springfield Brand Pasta use 5-6 quarts of water. Wait until water starts boiling, add 2 teaspoons of salt, add pasta and stir very gently once and let pasta cook for approx. 8 minutes for Al Dente (firm to the bite) taste. If you prefer a softer texture, after 8 minutes taste one strand and then decide if pasta is cooked to your liking - Never Overcook - do not leave unattended. Strain in colander and serve with your preferred sauce. Garnish with grated Romano or Parmesan Cheese. Serves 4-5: To prepare the classic Fettuccine Alfredo, follow same cooking directions as above using 1 pkg. of medium or wide Springfield Brand Fettuccine Noodles. After straining in colander, transfer pasta into a bowl, add 2oz. (1/2 stick) of melted butter - toss - add 1 cup of heavy cream or if you prefer sour cream; or a combination of both; toss - add 2-1/2 oz. (1 cup) grated Romano or Parmesan Cheese - toss again - serve in individual plates and garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
