See user's guide for detailed instructions (included). No filter presoak or rinse required! Filter replacement is essential for product to perform as represented. Replace filter every 120 gallons or 454 litres (about 6 months for the average family). Easy Setup: 1. With clean hands, remove lid and insert filter below line to seal filter. 2. Press firmly to ensure the filter is secure. 3. Add cold tap water. Pour out the first 3 pitchers of water. For best results, store the Brita pitcher in your refrigerator or out of direct sunlight.
