EXTON GIANT FOOD STORE ANNOUNCES HEALTHY IDEAS CLASS SCHEDULE FOR MARCH
Carlisle, PA – Have your New Year’s resolutions fallen by the wayside? Or maybe you’re looking to jump start your healthy eating in time for spring? Rabiya Bower, RD, LDN, in-store nutritionist at the Exton GIANT Food Store is offering several free classes throughout March to help get you and your family on a healthier track.
The March schedule of classes includes:
- Balancing Breakfast, Tuesday, March 3 from 3 – 4 p.m. Your mom was right- breakfast is the most important mealy of the day! Learn about some quick, easy and healthy breakfast options that will keep you full and satisfied. Sample “overnight oats.”
- Snacking Smart, Tuesday, March 10 from 3 – 4 p.m. Healthy snacks are an essential part of a balanced meal plan. Learn to develop high-energy, healthy snacks that are great on the go. Tips on how to avoid the vending machine and drive-thru, and include delicious snacks in your day will be discussed.
- Dinnertime Solutions, Tuesday, March 17 from 3 – 4 p.m. Most of us struggle with planning a balanced dinner meal that will satisfy everyone. GIANT’s in-store nutritionist teaches you the basics of meal planning – a skill that helps your waistline and your wallet. 30-minute meals are highlighted and these recipes are sure to please the pickiest of eaters!
- Kids Cook: Power Smoothies, Tuesday, March 24 from 3 – 4 p.m. Kids and adults can work with GIANT’s in-store nutritionist to create healthy, yummy snacks. Space is limited, so register today. Recommended for children age 6 and above. Parent attendance required.
Classes meet in the nutritionist’s office located within the Exton GIANT at 141 E. Swedesford Road. All of these classes are free, but registration is required by calling 610-594-0847.
